“Lord Jesus, we must always praise You. Even when circumstances are not comfortable or favourable. You have given us all that we need even when we go through trials and difficulties. Therefore, we praise You at all times and in all situations. In Your name, we pray. Amen.”
Acts 2:46-47 So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, (47) praising God and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.
As the church continued in oneness and grew in faith in God, they were continually offering praise to God. _Hebrews 13:14-16 For here we have no continuing city, but we seek the one to come. (15) Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name. (16) But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.
Our life must be a continual life of praise to God. This is what the Lord desires of us. Psalms 107:21-22 Oh, that men would give thanks to the LORD for His goodness, And for His wonderful works to the children of men! (22) Let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, And declare His works with rejoicing.
Whenever we have the opportunity, we must, publicly, declare praise to God*. This is our offering to God.
Our lives must be one of continual praise to God even when circumstances may not be favourable. Habakkuk 3:17-18 Though the fig tree may not blossom, Nor fruit be on the vines; Though the labour of the olive may fail, And the fields yield no food; Though the flock may be cut off from the fold, And there be no herd in the stalls— (18) Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.
We rejoice in Him for He is in control and He is working out all things for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purposes.
The early church was praising God. The signs and miracles that took place were an opportunity to praise God. Matthew 15:31 So the multitude marvelled when they saw the mute speaking, the maimed made whole, the lame walking, and the blind seeing; and they glorified the God of Israel.
When we praise and worship God, we are giving attention to Him. We are taking our eyes away from all the worries of this world and we focus on Jesus Christ. Luke 5:24-26 But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins”—He said to the man who was paralyzed, “I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.” (25) Immediately he rose up before them, took up what he had been lying on, and departed to his own house, glorifying God. (26) And they were all amazed, and they glorified God and were filled with fear, saying, “We have seen strange things today!”
The Lord is always causing us to come and be in His presence in an attitude of praise.
The lame man who was healed could not contain himself but he walked and leapt and he praise God. He was in a space of total adoration and worship of God. Acts 3:6-9 Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” (7) And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. (8) So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them—walking, leaping, and praising God. (9) And all the people saw him walking and praising God.
This is how it needs to be for us, as we praise God. As we praise Him, we find the right place for ourselves. We are in the presence of God and in His presence, we glorify Him alone. I Corinthians 1:29-31 that no flesh should glory in His presence. (30) But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption— (31) that, as it is written, “HE WHO GLORIES, LET HIM GLORY IN THE LORD.”
Praising God was also a way of witnessing God. _Acts 4:21 So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding no way of punishing them, because of the people, since they all glorified God for what had been done.
May His church always be in a state of praise and worship to God
