Luke 11 14-23 Citizens of the kingdom of Jesus Citizens of the kingdom of Jesus 1
*We are citizens of the kingdom of Jesus* _Luke 11:14-23_
Everything about us has to be about and under the kingdom rule of Jesus. We are subjects of the kingdom of Christ. We cannot claim to be believers and children of God but continue to live under the control or influence of the flesh or of the world. When we operate out of the flesh or the world _II Timothy 2:26/I John 5:19_, which satan controls, then we become people of the kingdom of satan. There is no option for dual citizenship.
Jesus was being indicted that He was driving out demons by the power of a greater demonic authority _Luke 11:14-15._ There were others, who sought a sign from heaven, from Jesus _Luke 11:16._ The Lord saw both of these groups, as basically those, who were operating under the authority of satan _Luke 11:17-22._ He warned them and Jesus is warning us that if we are not with Him then we belong to the kingdom of satan _Luke 11:23._
_The choice before us is very clear and simple. Do we want to belong to the kingdom of Jesus or do we want to belong to the kingdom of satan? We cannot, on one side, claim to be believers but, on the other side, continue to allow ourselves to be led by the influence of the flesh or the world. If we try to do so, let us be warned that we are members of the kingdom of satan and not of Christ._
that The two kingdoms - Mat 12:28 But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you.
Mat 16:21-23 From that time Jesus began to show to His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day. (22) Then Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him, saying, "Far be it from You, Lord; this shall not happen to You!" (23) But He turned and said to Peter, "Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men."
