*Our satisfaction is God* _Luke 11:24-26_

Yesterday, we saw that satan is like a roaring lion, looking for whom he can devour or control. He needs a habitation and he is looking for clean places that he can come into. We saw also that satan could not enter Job because Job feared God and Job was satisfied in God _Job 1:8-9, 2:3._ It was God who permitted satan to trouble Job, for the Lord is longing to defeat satan, through us, who live lives that are rested and satisfied in God. What a privilege it is for us to be co-workers with God, in defeating the enemy.

We ought not to be ignorant of the ways of satan _II Corinthians 2:11._ For if we are, he will take advantage of us and dictate his will through us _II Timothy 2:26._

Satan does not find rest in dry places. What are dry places? Dry places are those people, in whose lives, God has not brought healing. These are people in whose lives there is no peace since they live in wickedness _Isaiah 48:22._ These are people, who are like the troubled sea, which cannot rest but throws up mire and dirt _Isaiah 57:20-21._ The devil does not want to go to places like that, for there ungodliness and unrighteousness already prevails. This is where we were, when we lived in our trespasses and sin _Ephesians 2:1-3._ The devil looks for clean and swept places, to inhabit.

Knowing the wicked intentions of satan, we need to guard ourselves by seeking and thirsting to be filled with the Lord, Himself. Our soul must thirst for God and we must long for Him _Psalm 63:1-2._ We must be satisfied in God. *For, if we are not satisfied in God, our soul becomes a place that is clean, swept and put in order, in which satan finds entry* _Luke 11:25-26._ The condition of not being satisfied in God is a scary situation. Thinking that you and I can live our lives, based out of our own goodness, is the most dangerous place. We need to realise, fullness and satisfaction in God is our place, not only of safety but also a place a victory, over the evil one.

What happens when we thirst for God? God will pour water on him, who is thirsty _Isaiah 44:3._ He will pour out His Holy Spirit on us and on our descendants. God will not forsake those who seek satisfaction in Him. He will make the wilderness a pool and the dry land, springs of water. The person, who is thirsting for God, will flourish _Isaiah 41:17-19._

*Thought to ponder*

A person satisfied in God becomes a royal diadem in the hand of God _Isaiah 62:3-4_
