28Oct19 - *Let us not be unprofitable servants* - _Luke 13:22-30_ - Bible reading: _Matthew 25:24-30_

_Luke 13:28 There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, and yourselves thrust out._

Friends, as we said yesterday, it is not for us to be concerned as to what will qualify us and what will cause us to miss the admission requirements into heaven. We can leave that judgement into the safe hands of God, with whom there is no partiality or shadow of turning. Ours is to focus on what the Lord is expecting of us to do and leave the judgment to God.

We are the good seed sown by God. What makes us to be good seed? Good seed are those, who belong to Jesus. Those, who have clearly made the transition from the kingdom of the world to be under the King, the rule of Jesus. _Matthew 13:37-40 (37) He answered and said to them: "He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man. (38) The field is the world, the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom, but the tares are the sons of the wicked one. (39) The enemy who sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels. (40) Therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of this age._

When we are His seed, then the outcome of our life will be the outcome of the characteristics of Jesus. _Matthew 13:41-43 The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, (42) and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. (43) Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!_

As His good seed, planted in this world, Jesus wants us to take care of His house hold. The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof. We are not here on earth to take care of our interests but the interests of God. _Matthew 24:45-51 “Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season? (46) Blessed is that servant whom his master, when he comes, will find so doing. (47) Assuredly, I say to you that he will make him ruler over all his goods. (48) But if that evil servant says in his heart, 'My master is delaying his coming,' (49) and begins to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunkards, (50) the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him and at an hour that he is not aware of, (51) and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth._

God has placed resources in our hands. We are expected to utilize all the resources that He has placed in our hands for the building up of His house hold or the building of His kingdom, here on earth. _Matthew 25:24-30 “Then he who had received the one talent came and said, 'Lord, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed. (25) And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground. Look, there you have what is yours.' (26) "But his lord answered and said to him, 'You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed. (27) So you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received back my own with interest. (28) So take the talent from him, and give it to him who has ten talents. (29) 'For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away. (30) And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.'_

These are the evidences that need to be seen in us as the good seed planted by God in our world. These are the assessment parameters that we need to use, on our own lives and leave the final judgement to God.

*Thought to ponder*

```How are you showing up, in your own assessment of yourself?```
