_Luke 14:12-13 Then He also said to him who invited Him, "When you give a dinner or a supper, do not ask your friends, your brothers, your relatives, nor rich neighbors, lest they also invite you back, and you be repaid. (13) But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind._
The Lord was speaking directly to the ruler of the Pharisees, who had invited Him for a meal and teaching him to be related with the poor and not the rich. The reason being that it is the poor, who teach us the lesson of faith in God.
The eyes of our understanding need to be opened to *see Him, who is invisible*. _Ephesians 1:18 the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,_ We must see the true riches in Christ.
It was the true riches in Christ that Moses was able to see. _Hebrews 11:24-27 By faith Moses, when he became of age, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter, (25) choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin, (26) esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt; for he looked to the reward. (27) By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king; for he endured as *seeing Him who is invisible*._ Moses was *seeing Him who is invisible*. Friend, what are you seeing today? Are you *seeing Him who is invisible?
The Church at Smyrna was able to see Him who is invisible and God commended them. _Revelation 2:9-10 “I know your works, tribulation, and poverty (but you are rich); and I know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. (10) Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life._
Whereas, the Lord reprimanded the Church at Laodicea. _Revelation 3:17-18 Because you say, 'I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing'—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked— (18) I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see._
*Thought to ponder*
```Are you receiving God’s commendation or are you receiving God’s reprimand today?```
