01Apr2021 - *Walk among those who worship God in heaven* - _Luke 20:27-40_ - HE IS NOT THE GOD OF THE DEAD BUT OF THE LIVING 13 – Bible reading: _Revelation 7:9-12_
_Luke 20:35-36 But those who are counted worthy to attain that age, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry nor are given in marriage; (36) nor can they die anymore, *for they are equal to the angels and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection*._
In the resurrection of the age to come, we will be equal to angels and sons of God. The complete understanding of being children of God will then be a reality but we can experience being children of God now, by being led by the Holy Spirit.
We are tempted but instead of being led by the flesh, we give ourselves to be led by the Holy Spirit, to be empowered and to rise victoriously over sin.
_Romans 8:14-17 *For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God*. (15) For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, "Abba, Father." (16) The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, (17) and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together._
This close union with the Holy Spirit is where we are affirmed that we are the children of God. We, therefore, continuously give ourselves to the Holy Spirit.
_I John 3:2-3 Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, *we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is*. (3) And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure._
God is preparing us for this overwhelming experience to be like Him and to see Him as He is. This is the inheritance that awaits us. Having this hope that we will see Him as He is, we give ourselves to being purified by the Holy Spirit
_I Corinthians 15:48-49 As was the man of dust, so also are those who are made of dust; and as is the heavenly Man, so also are those who are heavenly. (49) And as we have borne the image of the man of dust, *we shall also bear the image of the heavenly Man*._
We once were those who were in the image of the man of dust. Since we saw ourselves in this manner, we worked out of dust or out of the flesh. As we relegated ourselves to this status, saying nothing extraordinary can happen, for we are dust, we accepted for ourselves, a life of defeat.
We must now remember that as once we bore the image of the man of dust, in Christ, we now bear the image of the heavenly man. The Holy Spirit is the one who brings us into the reality of being formed into the image of the heavenly man.
We give ourselves to be constantly recreated into the image of God by being clothed with the image of Jesus, by faith. _Colossians 3:10 and *have put on the new man* who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him,_ It is the Holy Spirit who enables us to put on the new man.
When God created us and breathed into our nostrils the breath of life (His Spirit), His desire was that we grow into His image. The template of His image was placed in us but that basic framework, which we received at creation, needed to be manifested and that manifestation could only happen as we are led by the Holy Spirit.
This is what will be the experience in the age to come, where we will be fully revealing and manifesting the image of God.
_Zechariah 3:7 “Thus says the LORD of hosts: 'If you will walk in My ways, And if you will keep My command, Then you shall also judge My house, And likewise have charge of My courts; *I will give you places to walk Among these who stand here*._
God will give us places to walk amongst those who stand in the age to come if we will walk in His ways.
_Revelation 7:9-12 After these things I looked, and behold, *a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb*, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands, (10) and crying out with a loud voice, saying, "Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!" (11) All the angels stood around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures, and fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, (12) saying: "Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom, Thanksgiving and honor and power and might, Be to our God forever and ever. Amen."_
This is the picture of walking amongst those who stand there, which is promised for us. Will we accept and receive His promise?
*Thought to ponder*
```Our life is part of the eternal habitation in God.```
