We are looking at the evaluation that will take place when the Lord returns.
_Luke 19:15 “And so it was that when he returned, having received the kingdom, he then commanded these servants, to whom he had given the money, to be called to him, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading._
Let us relook at our purpose statement.
_We are citizens of the kingdom of God here on earth, redeemed and reconciled back to God, through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. We live and work with the understanding that we are servants of the King, fulfilling all the elements of the creation or cultural mandate, from the seed of the image of God, added with the capital that He has invested us with, in the enablement and wisdom of the Holy Spirit._
_The kingdom of God has already begun, which will come into full effect when the Messiah returns. As we prayerfully await His return, we reach out to an audience that is rejecting God but with boldness and love._
_In the eternal kingdom of Jesus, we will be assigned roles and responsibilities, depending upon our performance here on earth, with the capital that God has invested in each of us._
The nobleman had given the capital to the servants to do business or occupy till he returns with his kingdom. _Luke 19:13 So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, '*Do business till I come*.' (NKJV) Luke 19:13 And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, *Occupy till I come*. (KJV)_
_Genesis 1:28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, "*Be fruitful* and *multiply*; *fill the earth* and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth."_
The third element of the creation mandate is to *Fill the earth*. Filling the earth is to replenish the earth, to occupy or engage in various occupations that will cause in replenishing the earth. We are to be occupied till the Lord returns.
Man was created to have dominion over all the earth in the image of God. The earth and the world belong to God.
_Psalm 24:1 A Psalm of David. The earth is the LORD's, and all its fullness, The world and those who dwell therein. Psalm 89:11 The heavens are Yours, the earth also is Yours; The world and all its fullness, You have founded them._
We are to fill the earth by taking up various occupations of human life and activity. Every occupation, every business is God's. Science, medicine, engineering ... and every domain of human life belongs to God.
We must demolish the sacred and secular divide. Every field/domain is sacred. There is nothing that is outside of the sovereignty of God
These fields/domains are now being driven by people, who are created in the image of God but, ironically, they are in the clutches of the evil one.
So, in all of these fields, the devil is working out his evil agenda through man, who is now in his control. _I John 5:19 We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one._
God’s people must be in every field. We are to fill the earth, redeem and recover every field from the clutches of Satan and bring it under the kingdom rule of God.
What is God’s overall purpose?
The Lord is bringing all things in heaven and on earth under His domain.
_Ephesians 1:9-10 having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself, (10) that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times *He might gather together in one all things in Christ*, both which are in heaven and which are on earth—in Him._
_Colossians 1:19-20 For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, (20) and *by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross*._
Jesus came, to go to the cross. The blood of the cross was necessary as He completed His part of God’s grand design, who is reconciling all things to Himself.
Our task is to be in alignment with the grand plan of God, which we read in Ephesians and Colossians.
We, who have been reconciled with God, have been given the ministry of reconciling the world back to God.
_II Corinthians 5:18 Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation,_
