LUKE 19 11-27 TO EVERYONE WHO HAS, WILL BE GIVEN 15 Results that are manifold
23Dec2020 - *Results that are manifold* - _Luke 19:11-27_ - TO EVERYONE WHO HAS, WILL BE GIVEN 15
_Luke 19:15-16 “And so it was that when he returned, having received the kingdom, he then commanded these servants, to whom he had given the money, to be called to him, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading. (16) Then came the first, saying, 'Master, your mina has earned ten minas.'_
The servants were now giving an account of the results that have been produced out of the investment that the nobleman had placed in them. Before we look into this matter of the results, let us revisit our purpose statement.
_We are citizens of the kingdom of God here on earth, redeemed and reconciled back to God, through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. This world is being driven by the evil one, through man, who has become his prisoner._
_We, citizens of the kingdom of God, live and work, fulfilling all the elements of the creation or cultural mandate, in the image of God, with the capital that He has invested us with, in the enablement and wisdom of the Holy Spirit._
_The kingdom of God has already begun, which will come into its full effect when the Messiah returns. As we prayerfully await His return, we reach out to an audience that is rejecting God but with boldness and love._
_In the eternal kingdom of Jesus, we will be assigned roles and responsibilities, depending upon the results that we produce here on earth, with the capital that God has invested in each of us._
We have seen the road map, which is the creation or cultural mandate that has been provided for us by which our lives can surely produce the results that are expected of us at the return of the King.
The fivefold creation mandate, placed in three groups – *Be fruitful and Multiply, Fill the earth and Subdue it, Have dominion*.
The result produced by the first servant was ten times the investment made in him.
Consider the scale of growth, when we are in the work of His kingdom.
This is also expressed in the parable of the sower and the different soils. _Mark 4:20 Others are like the seeds sown on good soil. They hear the word, accept it, and produce crops—30, 60, or 100 times what was sown."(ISV)_
_Colossians 1:9-14 For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; (10) that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;_
_(11) strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy; (12) giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. (13) He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, (14) in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins._
God has delivered us from the power of darkness, conveyed us into the kingdom of His son, who forgave us by His blood and also redeemed us.
Why did He do this for us?
He has delivered us so that we will be partakers of the inheritance of the saints. God is preparing us for the inheritance that is awaiting us in the age which is to come. In preparation, we are to walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work.
As we focus on the road map and with the capital that God has invested in us, we will be producing results that are expected of us.
_II Peter 1:5-11 But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, (6) to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, (7) to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. (8) For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ._
As we follow the road map that has been provided, we will not be barren or unfruitful.
_(9) For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins. (10) Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble; (11) for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ._
If we are not producing results, then we are being short sighted and have forgotten the purpose for which we were cleansed by the blood of Jesus.
When we are producing the manifold result that is expected of each of us, an abundant entrance will be supplied to us into the everlasting kingdom of Jesus.
*Thought to ponder*
```The Lord has revealed his plans and purposes for us.```
