*Representing Christ to our world* _Luke 11:29-32_

The Son of God was with them and yet the people were looking for a sign. He came to His own but His own did not receive Him. They ridiculed, mocked and wanted a sign from Him. These were His own Jewish people, who were eagerly waiting for the Messiah but when He came to them, they rejected Him _John 1:9-14._

The queen of Sheba had come to hear the wisdom of Solomon but the creator of heaven and earth was with them and yet the people rejected Him.

We must recognize that we are sent to our world, our time and generation _John 17:18/20:21_ by our Lord Jesus, to reconcile people back to God. Man is surely dead and He needs to be brought to life _John 5:24._

As Christ is, so are we in the world _I John 4:17._ We carry His emblem, His mark and His logo on us. If this is who are, then we need to get a glimpse of Jesus and also realise our own position in Christ _Colossians 1:15-19._ Jesus is the firstborn over all creation and we are His brethren _Romans 8:29._ We are made to be co-rulers with Jesus over principalities and powers _Ephesians 2:6-7, 1:19-23, 3:10._ All things hold together in Christ and we are His executive stewards over all of creation _Genesis 1:26-28, Psalm 8:3-9._ All the fullness of the godhead bodily rests in Christ _Colossians 2:9,_ in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge _Colossians 2:2-3._ We are called in Christ, who is the power and wisdom of God _I Corinthians 1:24, 30._ We the church, are the fullness of Christ _Ephesians 1:23, Colossians 1:18._ The Spirit of the glory of Jesus rests on us, the church _I Peter 4:14._

Knowing our standing in Christ, we must also keep in mind that we are being sent into a world that will not turn to Christ, so easily. We need to constantly put off the old man and clothe ourselves with the new _Ephesians 4:22-24, Colossians 3:10._

*Thought to ponder*

```Jesus is the good news and people must have the opportunity to meet Jesus in us.```
