02Jan2021 - *Blessing for the new year* - _Luke 19:11-27_ - TO EVERYONE WHO HAS, WILL BE GIVEN 24 – Bible reading: _Isaiah 6:9-10_
As we step into this new year, what would be the one message that we should carry with us?
There is no more room or time left of half-heartedness and lukewarmness in our walk with God. There is going to be a separation between the wheat and the tares, between the sheep and the goats, between the good fish and the bad fish.
The time has now come for us to clearly make a choice. This is the message for 2021. It is a year to decide to be on the side of God, whatever may be the cost we may be called to pay.
_Luke 19:24-26 “And he said to those who stood by, 'Take the mina from him, and give it to him who has ten minas.' (25) (But they said to him, 'Master, he has ten minas.') (26) 'For I say to you, that to everyone who has will be given; and from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him._
We are faced with a frightening paradox here of the nature and judgment of God.
The one who is not eager and passionate for God and His kingdom will actually go further away into coldness and blindness. Whereas, the one who is hungering and thirsting for the Lord, will be filled.
_John 12:39-40 Therefore they could not believe, because Isaiah said again: (40) “HE HAS BLINDED THEIR EYES AND HARDENED THEIR HEARTS, LEST THEY SHOULD SEE WITH THEIR EYES, LEST THEY SHOULD UNDERSTAND WITH THEIR HEARTS AND TURN, SO THAT I SHOULD HEAL THEM."_
The Bible tells us that God actually blinds the eyes of people. We are always thinking that God opens people’s eyes but when people are not passionate for God and not taking the investment that God has placed in their life, with reverential fear, then the Lord gives them over into a spirit of stupor.
_Isaiah 6:9-10 And He said, "Go, and tell this people: 'Keep on hearing, but do not understand; Keep on seeing, but do not perceive.' (10) "Make the heart of this people dull, And their ears heavy, And shut their eyes; Lest they see with their eyes, And hear with their ears, And understand with their heart, And return and be healed."_
Knowing the ways of God, how should we live in this new year? Our purpose statement that we have been drafting will helpful for us to continue to grow in our zeal for the Lord, in these end times.
_We are citizens of the kingdom of God here on earth, redeemed and reconciled back to God, through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. This world is being driven by the evil one, through man, who has become his prisoner._
_We, citizens of the kingdom of God, live and work, fulfilling all the elements of the creation or cultural mandate, in the image of God, which is to give of Himself. With all diligence and zeal, we use the capital that God has invested us with, in the enablement and wisdom of the Holy Spirit._
_The kingdom of God has already begun, which will come into its full effect when the Messiah returns. As we prayerfully await His return, we reach out to an audience that is rejecting God but with boldness and love._
_In the eternal kingdom of Jesus, we will continue with the theme of having dominion, which was our theme here on earth. We will be assigned roles and responsibilities, depending upon the results that we produced here on earth, with the capital that God has invested in each of us._
People are wishing each other for the New year. This is my greeting and wishes to all of us for the new year?
My prayer and desire for you and your family for 2021
_God will enable you to cast aside anxiety for your own wellbeing but replace it with growth in your passion towards God._
_You will no more be one, who sits and watches from the side-lines but you will be a player in His kingdom._
_You will no more be one who is praying for your own needs but you will be one who is engaging in warfare against the enemy._
_You will, from now on, look at your circles of influence, work or study as places that need to be reclaimed and restored back to the rule of God’s kingdom and will not be there for meeting your earthly needs._
_You will be a person of excellence, wherever God has placed you, for you serve the KING._
