*Having the mind of Christ _Luke 11:33-36_

We said that the eye that Jesus is talking about is not just the physical eye but He is talking about our perception, understanding, reasoning and our world view.

If our perception is evil then our whole person will be darkness. If what should be our light becomes darkness then how great is the darkness of our lives _Matthew 6:22-23._ Sadly, this is the condition of our world. People are living out of darkness since the light in them or their perception to life has become evil or false and so their whole life is full of darkness.

Jesus taught people in parables. The reason being, the Lord wanted people to have a desire to see, search, ponder and grope for the truth or the light. This is not how the world is, around us. People are generally not seeking for the truth or the light. They are blindly accepting the lie that has been foisted on them by the devil.

On the other hand, to those, who are seeking and longing for the truth, the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven will be revealed. Obviously, to have a heart that is seeking and searching for the truth, one would need to accept that he/she does not have all the answers to life but needs to come to the giver of life to have the answers. People, are generally arrogant and self sufficient in themselves and therefore they are shutting the door for the opportunity to learn from God. God is not able to bring healing to their life since they do not acknowledge that they are blind and that they need to see _Matthew 13:10-16._

The word of God calls those, who are not seeking for the truth and God’s light as foolish. Having eyes they do not see and ears and do not hear _Jeremiah 5:21._ Satan blinds people's eyes and people are caught in a web of lies. So, the basis of their cultural, social, spiritual, personal, bio-physical and financial perceptions to life is false. These are pivots on which their web of life is hinged and just as a spider catches insects in its web, satan has caught people in a web of falsehood _II Corinthians 4:4._

It is only by knowing the truth will people be set free from the web of lies _John 8:32/ II Thessalonians 2:9-12._

*Thought to ponder*

```The challenge of missions is to bring people from darkness to the light, who is Jesus.```
