*Kingdom of Jesus* _Luke 11:37-54_

The lawyers, scribes and Pharisees were hindering people from entering into a relationship with God, a relationship where God is our king, our Lord, our Master, our Father and our Husband _Luke 11:52/ Matthew 23:13._

We see this happening when Jesus healed the man who was born blind and gave him sight. The religious leaders were not willing to listen and hear what God was speaking to them but they closed the doors for themselves as well as prevented others from experiencing a deep and intimate relationship with Christ.

They were so caught up with God speaking to Moses but to the law they added their own rules and regulations, with which they bound people and laid heavy burdens on them. The man, who was now able to see, though he was born blind, responds to these religious leaders and challenges them that they, calling themselves to be custodians on all matters pertaining to God, did not know about Jesus, who had done an act never done before. He adds by saying, “this man, who has healed me must be from God, for God hears those who do His will. If this Man were not from God, He could do nothing." The religious leaders were very angry with this man and they cast him out _John 9:29-34._

The keys of the kingdom of God is given to the church. Our task here on earth is to invite, encourage and motivate people to enter into the kingdom of God and not hinder people, for God is longing for people to come back and be one with Him.

The church is built on Jesus as our rock and our foundation and the authority of satan will not prevail or overcome the church, of this we must be assured. To the church has been given the keys of the kingdom of God. We are responsible to open doors and bring people into a kingdom relationship with Christ. We are not here to ‘play church’. We are not here to look after ourselves. We are here to bring many, who are outside of the kingdom of God, to come in and enjoy all the fullness and abundance of God’s kingdom. The church is the full expression of the kingdom of God. All of the characteristics and attributes of the kingdom of God, ought to be displayed and demonstrated in the life of the church _Matthew 16:16-19._

Is this how we are as the church of Jesus Christ?

*Thought to ponder*

```The manifold wisdom of God is made known by the church to the world.```
