Luke 13 18-21 Experiencing His kingdom 05 Kneading the leaven of His kingdom into us
12Oct19 - *Kneading the leaven of His kingdom into us* - _Luke 13:18-21_ - Bible reading: _II Corinthians 4:6-10_
_Luke 13:20-21 And again He said, "To what shall I liken the kingdom of God? (21) It is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal till it was all leavened."_
In the second parable, Jesus is comparing the kingdom of God, to a woman, who kneads the leaven into three measures of dough till the whole is leavened.
What do we understand here? The Lord build His character and nature into us. After we have come into a relationship with Him, He constantly corrects, shapes, kneads and presses His nature into us, so that our whole person, body, soul and spirit is manifesting His kingdom.
_James 1:18 Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures._ We are to be firstfruits or a display of His character and nature, which are the values of His kingdom.
This is the assurance that Paul gives to the Philippians. _Philippians 1:6 being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;_
How does this process take place? _II Corinthians 4:6-10 For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. (7) But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. (8) We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; (9) persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed_ Yes, we go through difficulties and trials. These have not come into our life by accident. These are the ways of kneading that the Lord does to knead the leaven of His kingdom into every fiber of our lives β _(10) always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body._ We are therefore dying daily with Jesus, so that the life of Jesus will manifest from within us.
*Thought to ponder*
```Are you allowing God to knead the leaven of His kingdom into every aspect of your life?```
