12Oct2020 - *God who makes the impossible, possible* - _Luke 18:18-30_ - FOLLOWING JESUS TO HAVE ETERNAL LIFE 15 – Bible reading: _Ephesians 1:18-20_

_Mark 10:26-27 And they were greatly astonished, saying among themselves, "Who then can be saved?" (27) But Jesus looked at them and said, "With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible."_

The question that arose in the minds of the disciples of _" Who then can be saved?"_ was a natural and logical one. This question should be asked for we have all adjusted our lives to live out of a materialistic world view. Jesus said, _“Man shall not live by bread alone…”_ but today it seems as though we live by bread alone.

This is where the Lord brings in the spiritual into the material. _Luke 18:27 But He said, "The things which are impossible with men are possible with God."_

The Christian journey is in experiencing the spiritual intervention of God into the materialistic world view of the world. This is where we stamp our difference and reveal the glory of God in the everyday circumstances of life.

Mary asked a practical question to the angel, of how could she conceive since she had not known a man. The Lord’s response to her was, _Luke 1:37 For with God nothing will be impossible."_

We operate from the realm of the possible. We live out of the basis of our limitedness. The cumulation of our experience and the experiences of others, which we know, determines our responses to life’s struggles. It is from within the framework of our limitedness that we trust God and expect His intervention.

We are not willing to shift our base to the world view of the rule of God. It is when we shift base to the perspective of His kingdom that we will acknowledge that God has taken over our lowly state and has brought in the revelation of His might and power.

Apostle Paul talks of this in the dimension of the body. Many live defeated lives, under the clutches of sin, when we can, by faith, appropriate His glorious body, which He has made available to us, to overcome sin in the flesh.

_Philippians 3:21 who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself._

It is not only in the realm of the body but the Lord is able to save us to the uttermost in all matters of life when we shift base from a materialistic world view to the world view of the kingdom of God. _Hebrews 7:25 Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them._

Paul’s desire for us is that the eyes of our understanding will be opened and we will have an entirely new perspective to life and not live out of the limited perspective of the materialistic world view of the world.

_Ephesians 1:18-20 the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, (19) and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power (20) which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,_

*Thought to ponder*

```Will you shift base to the world view of the kingdom of God?```
