RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD THROUGH FAITH IN JESUS

The theme verse for the book of Romans

Romans 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

Righteousness of God witnessed in the Old Testament

Romans 3:21 But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets,

Genesis 15:6 And he believed in the Lord, and He accounted it to him for righteousness.

Isaiah 45:22-25 “Look to Me, and be saved, All you ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other.  (23)  I have sworn by Myself; The word has gone out of My mouth in righteousness, And shall not return, That to Me every knee shall bow, Every tongue shall take an oath.  (24)  He shall say, ‘Surely in the LORD I have righteousness and strength. To Him men shall come, And all shall be ashamed Who are incensed against Him.  (25)  In the Lord all the descendants of Israel Shall be justified, and shall glory.’ “

Isaiah 54:17 No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord.

Isaiah 61:10 I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, My soul shall be joyful in my God; For He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, As a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, And as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

Deuteronomy 18:18-19 I will raise up for them a Prophet like you from among their brethren, and will put My words in His mouth, and He shall speak to them all that I command Him.  (19)  And it shall be that whoever will not hear My words, which He speaks in My name, I will require it of him.

Righteousness of God on all through faith in Jesus

Romans 3:22 even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference;

Romans 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

Romans 4:3-13 / Gen 15:1-6 / Rom 4:20-22 He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, (21) and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.  (22)  And therefore “it was accounted to him for righteousness.”

Philippians 3:9 and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith; Col 3:3

Galatians 2:16 knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified.

Galatians 3:7-9 Therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham.  (8)  And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, “In you all the nations shall be blessed.”  (9)  So then those who are of faith are blessed with believing Abraham.

Luke 15:22 “But the father said to his servants, ‘Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet.

Romans 10:12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him.

Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

Colossians 3:11 where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in all.

The glory of God

Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

Romans 11:32-33 For God has committed them all to disobedience, that He might have mercy on all.  (33)  Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!

Galatians 3:22 But the Scripture has confined all under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.

I Thessalonians 2:12 that you would walk worthy of God who calls you into His own kingdom and glory.

II Thessalonians 2:14 to which He called you by our gospel, for the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I Peter 5:10-11 But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.  (11)  To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.
